As I write this, somewhere far far away, a star is about to be born. It is out there in the Milky Way, pulsating, pulling in matter from a surrounding envelope of gas and dust and emitting a thin ray of light. Astronomers across the globe are waiting and watching what this new object which they are fondly calling L1448-IRS2E holds in store for them.
What makes L1448-IRS2E special? Astronomers have over the years studied the formation of stars and the phases through which L1448-IRS2E is going through will provide them more insight into the life and development cycle of a star.
Why is it in the news? Astronomers from Yale University, the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Germany - found the object using the Submillimeter Array in Hawaii and the Spitzer Space Telescope and published their research in the latest issue of the Astrophysical Journal. And it has started off the buzz which normally surrounds the birth of a star.
So, that brings us to the question of how the stars are formed. It is something i have always been interested in... let me find out more... So, long guys!

i figured it out
I don't want to make this sound like a crib blog. these are just some of my findings after two weeks of blogging for my organisation.
- Your posts, will take its own sweet time to show up on the page.
- And it makes you feel like a slug - a lowly being
- and it makes you feel that a personal blog is a thousand times better
- and going forward, it makes you feel like putting up all what you write out here....if they dont surface in 6 hours after you have submitted it for the company blog.
having said that, i for one will stick to my promises and put up what i have told i ll do.
and now let me go write it up.

some technology i say
2004. that was when i started blogging. ah... you may say... what made you blog? the company i used to work for... had just started a blog platform and it was the latest thingy.
i still maintain that blog... though the tech-support on it is lousy.
blogging was easy then. write what you wanted to write...and just publish...and hey presto, ur blog is live.
it is 2010. the company i work for now has started a blog... people are going ga ga about it... and now... do you know it takes more than 5 hours for a post to come live... coz there is a person to read it thru and approve it:-)
